As today is Thanksgiving in America, I would like to thank everyone who has made it possible for me to come to Atlantic College. My parents, all of my grandparents, cousins, extended family, and friends, who have supported me both financially and morally. Without your generosity I wouldn’t be in this place having these wonderful opportunities. There aren’t enough words to express my gratitude and I love you all so much.

For Thanksgiving today, the Americans all came together and cooked a meal together. Having just finished my last exam, it came at a perfect time and I was so excited to eat a big meal. There were about 25 of us there and everyone cooked some food in their houses and brought it to the castle to eat. We had everything for a typical American Thanksgiving meal. It was honestly one of the most fun Thanksgivings I’ve ever had! So much laughter, jokes, and so many things we are all thankful for. We have a great group of Americans here and I am very thankful that I got to meet all of them.

Not sure how I fit all my food on that little plate, but somehow it worked!

Even though I am in Wales, I was still able to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! I was planning on watching a football game tonight, but now I’m in a food coma from dinner and beyond exhausted. On the bright side, I don’t have class until 12:35 tomorrow! It’s been a great week and I hope everyone in America had a wonderful day, especially all my extended family at my house! Sad I couldn’t be there in person, but Skyping was good too! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

  1. So glad you had a great day. I saw a picture of Caroline and Jack talking to you on Skype and know Kate wasn’t far away….so my four grandkids were (sort of) together for Thanksgiving.
